Abstract

986, 770. Jacquards. SAMUEL DRACUP & SONS Ltd. Jan. 31, 1964 [Jan. 26,1963], No. 3353/63. Heading D1E. To get the warps in the same planes 17, 20, 29, from the healds to the fell 16, the bottom board and griffe frame are inclined rearwardly in planes 26, 25 respectively at the closed shed position and, at the open shed position, the bottom board is moved to a horizontal plane 28 and the griffe frame to a forwardly inclined plane 27. The griffe lifts the selected healds to the plane 29 and the bottom board the non-selected healds to the plane 20; the plane 17 being the race board level. The griffe 35 (Fig. 5) is pivoted to slides 41 and has a member 43 guided in a guide 46 so that, when it is raised by a cam 37 it moves from the "negative" to "positive" tilt positions. The bottom board 36 is similarly operated between its two positions.
