Abstract
1,263,019. Thermionic cathode constructions. LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 17 June, 1970 [1 July, 1969], No. 29391/70. Heading H1D. An indirectly heated cathode comprises a heating element 1 mounted in a cavity within the cathode 3 and a pink ruby sleeve 2 lining the cavity. In a dispenser cathode the sleeve may have an opening adjacent the emissive material 4 which is closed by a cover of sapphire, ruby or quartz. The heating element comprises a multiple coil with a coating of Al oxide.
