Abstract
1,257,504. Two part couplings. NORTH WESTERN SPECIALITIES Ltd. 14 Aug. 1970 [11 June, 1969], No. 29585/69. Heading H2E. A unitary coaxial cable and plug (Fig. 1, Fig. 2) has the cable screen C connected to one terminal 11α of the capacitor 11 and the cable core c connected to one terminal 13a of the capacitor 13, and the other capacitor terminal ends 11b, 13b are connected respectively to the tag 15 on the plug shell 16 and the tag 17 on pin 18. The cable, capacitors and the ends of the plug shell and pin are retained in position by an injection moulding of synthetic plastic material which provides the outer insulating body of the plug. The capacitor may be surrounded by a heat shrinkable sleeve 14 and their terminals connected to the cable by crimping the sleeves 10, 12 and to the plug by crimping the tags 15, 17. The plug shell may be in the form of a split sleeve. A locating member may be provided to maintain the shell and pin coaxial during moulding and is not removed.
