Abstract
1,253,884. Rotary positive-displacement machines. ZAKLADY MECHANICZNE TARNOW W TARNOWIE. Feb.3, 1969 [Feb. 3, 1968; March 1, 1968], No.5765/69. Heading F1F. A pump, or motor, has working chambers defined by a housing 1 and a bladed main-rotor 3 meshing with auxiliary rotors 6, the chambers being connected to inlet and outlet conduits 16, 17 in an input, or output, shaft 2 by bores 20, 21, respectively. The rotors are synchronized by gear-wheels 22, 23. A second embodiment, Fig. 3, differs mainly in that the main rotor 30 is movable axially relative to its shaft 29 and a sleeve 38 thereon so as to vary the output, movement in one direction being effected by fluid-pressure applied to a rod 46 through a bore 47 and in the other direction by fluidpressure acting on the rotor through a bore 48. Fluid enters the working chambers through a conduit 40 and bores in the main rotor and leaves the chambers through passages 43 in the sleeve. In each embodiment the main-rotor blades have an epicycloidal profile may be axially straight or helical. The machine may be adapted to operate as an I. C. engine. (For figures see next page)
