Abstract

947,382. Rotary pumps and motors. SVENSKA ROTOR MASKINER A.B. Jan.15, 1960 [Jan. 15, 1959], No. 1539/60. Heading F1F. In a rotary pump or motor of the intermeshing screw type a scaling and lubricating coolant is fed to the rotors through passages 54, 52, 56 and 60, 58, 62 whereby synchronizing gears may, if desired, be dispensed with-the outlet passages 56, 62 being directed towards the highpressure port 46. The inclination of the passages may be increased in the transverse plane near the high-pressure port, see Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown). The passages in the end wall may open into recesses having increasing radial width and decreasing axial depth, see Figs. 8, 9 and 10 (not shown) whilst liquid may also be injected towards the journals and thence to tapered radial grooves in the rotors, see Figs. 11, 12, 13 and 14 (not shown).
