Abstract

1426126 Sliding vane machines S KOMIYA & T SAITO 4 Feb 1974 [16 Feb 1973 1 March 1973 22 May 1973] 04988/74 Heading F1F In a rotary compressor or vacuum pump having a single diametral vane 11 slidingly located in a hollow cylindrical rotor 29 mounted eccentrically within a chamber between a pair of end-plates 7, 13, the rotor projects into recesses 41, 41' in the end-plates 7, 13 and the slots receiving the vane in the rotor extend the full length of the rotor so that the ends of each slot co-operate with the corresponding recess 41 or 41 to form a lubricating oil reservoir, supplied once per revolution with oil from a sump via passages 43, 45, 47, pump 17 and further passages 49, 51, 53, 61 and 61'. The machine has axial inlets and valved axial outlets in end-plate 7. The vane has spring-loaded tip seals.
