Abstract

1388985 Rotary compressors STALREFRIGERATION AB 21 Sept 1973 [25 Sept 1972] 44383/73 Heading F1F A rotary compressor of the sliding vane type intended to work with a medium containing a finely-dispersed lubricant, such as a refrigerant comprises a stator 1 with a rotor 15 therein and end-pieces 4, 8 supporting bearings 5, 9 for the rotor shaft 7, the end-piece 8 being formed with an outlet channel 11 and a supply connection 12 the connection 12 communicating with a suction chamber 10 adjacent the bearing 9 and from which a channel 18 leads to the working chamber 22 of the compressor, a channel 19 being formed in the shaft 7 leading to a space 21 around the bearing 5 so that in use the bearings 5, 9 are lubricated by the working medium some of which passes through the bearings and is led back to the working space 22 by way of channels 23 formed in the end-pieces 4, 8. Radial channels 20 in the shaft 7 connect the channel 19 with the space 21 so that shaft rotation assists in movement of the working medium along the channel 19, and a shaft sealing washer 6 is provided at the space 21 this being also lubricated by the working medium.
