Abstract

[Also in Division B2] In a hydraulic gear wheel machine, e.g. a motor as shown, a gear ring 6 is connected by screws 4 to one end of a casing 1 which has an inlet 8 for supply of hydraulic oil 9 and an outlet for the discharged oil 10. Gear ring 6 meshes with a gear 11 having both rotational and orbital movement and connected to an articulated shaft 13 which engages a rotary slide member 14 positively connected to a main shaft 12. Circumferential grooves 15, 16 in the member 14 communicate respectively with the oil inlet and outlet and with axial grooves 17, 18 which correspond to the number of teeth of the gear 11. Orifices 19 in the casing 1 communicate via ducts 20 with the gaps between adjacent teeth of gearing ring 6. Thus the positive displacement cells 21 between the teeth of gear ring 6 and those of the gear 11 are alternately connected to the inlet 8 and to the outlet for discharged oil 10 in such a way as to allow continuous rotation of the rotor. Conversely, if power is applied to shaft 12, the machine works as a pump. Leakage oil from grooves 15, 17 and cells 21 enter cavity 23 in slide 14, flows through a centrifugal-magnetic oil separator 24 (see Division B2) and thence through ducts 25 to a shaft bearing 22.
