Abstract

1,249,181. Hydraulic motor control circuit. BONSER ENG., Ltd. Jan.1, 1969, No.55/69. Heading F1P. The head end of a hydraulic stepping ram 5 is supplied with a measured volume of fluid forced by a piston P from one or other cyclinder spaces C 1 , C 2 say C 1 when the other space C 2 is connected to a pump delivery line by a valve 8 when in position 8a, and when the valve 8 is moved to position 8b pump delivery is connected to space C 1 causing return of piston P and delivery of a measured volume of fluid to the ram 5 which thus makes a further step. The inlet lines to spaces C 1 , C 2 contain non-return valves NR1, NR2 and outlet lines of spaces C 1 , C 2 contain non-return valves PC2, PC1 which are held open by pressure upstream of NR2 and NR1. During stepping the ram exhausts through a non-return valve 9 held open by pressure feeding the head end through a non-return valve 10. At the end of the stepping operation the ram 5 is returned by connecting the rod end to the pump delivery line through a valve 7 in position 7a and full extension of the ram is effected by moving valve 7 to position 7b. The steps may serve to advance a conveyer to a coal face.
