Abstract

1,248,231. Lead-rubber laminates. FARMILOE SEALANTS Ltd. 15 May, 1969 [23 May, 1968], No. 24666/68. Heading B5N. A laminate comprises a sheet of lead backed with an adherent, uncured synthetic or natural rubber backing which contains a vulcanizing or curing agent. The vulcanizing or curing agent may be a carbamate or xanthate, and if natural rubber is used the curing agent may be sulphur. Butyl rubber is specified. The laminate may be adhered via the rubber backing to a panel of plywood, chipboard, asbestos, glass fibre reinforced resin, plaster, metal or boarded roof decking.
