Abstract

The panel, for cladding or roofing, is of sheet metal or foil, and a synthetic resin coating with embedded reinforcement, compressed and if necessary heated to form a statically uniform whole. Copper foil and polymerised synthetic resin are suitable, with surface either flat or profiled. Reinforcement may be of sprayed-on glass fibre or similar material covered by another layer of synthetic resin, and colouring may be superimposed. Simple to prepare, economical in materials, the panel is stable and durable, and if profiled can fulfil many functions, such as hollow or ridge tiling.
