[Also in Division H5] Air from outside a heat cleaned oven is delivered through passageways 16 and outlets 17 to pass over elements 12 behind covers 13. The open bottoms 15 of the covers allow the recirculation of air from the oven. The elements 12 may be used for a normal cooking operation and may be mounted in passageways external to the oven chamber, with openings for the gases to pass to and from the chamber. A vent 18 may lead to a smoke eliminator. The air inlet passageway 16 may contain, or be surrounded by, elements used only for heat cleaning.
