1,032,763. Ventilating cooking stoves. RADIATION Ltd., and J. W. BUCKINGHAM. Aug. 27. 1962 [Aug. 29, 1961]. No. 31098/61. Heading F4W. A cooking unit comprising an oven 1 and a hot chamber 2 is built into a recess 3 in a wall or a kitchen cabinet and is surrounded by a casing 15 through which room air rises by convection and leaves through a mesh grid 8 to deflect hot air and/or vapours leaving the oven away from the region above the front face of the unit. Air may enter the casing 15 below the unit through a mesh grid 14 or at the sides of the unit. The oven is ventilated by air entering below a door 4 and leaving through a tube 6 and a duct 7 containing a grease filter 9. The filter is removable and comprises an inverted channel member containing corrugated fine mesh 10.
