Abstract

1,238,007. Electric couplings. VEREINIGTE DRAHTUND KABELWERKE A.G. 10 Feb., 1969 [10 Feb., 1968], No. 7076/69. Heading H2E. Alkali metal core cables 1, 2 are joined by two conductive half sleeves 7, 8 clamped by nuts 3, 4, which may have tapered threads, so that projections 9 pierce the cable insulation. Sealing rings 5, 6, 12 may be provided. Foil wound on the cable ends may replace the ring 12. The nuts may be elongated so as to engage one another. They may be of plastics, integral with the rings 5, 6, or of metal. One of the nuts may be provided with a terminal pin for making a terminal connection to a single cable.
