Abstract

1,235,103. Cartons. JOHN LAIRD & SON Ltd. 7 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 26357/67. Heading B8P. A collapsible carton is erected from a blank which comprises a sheet 2 covered by an overlay 4 and is closed at its ends by folding inwardly first flaps 11 of the sheet 2 and their adjacent portions of overlay and then flaps 14 and overlay portions 26 to lie between flaps 12 and overlay portions 24. The sheet 2 also includes side panels 6-9 and a glue flap 10 defined by lines of weakening a-d and overlay 4 has a glue strip 16 and is adhered to sheet 2 in the region of the edges of the side panels 6-9. The carton is partially erected, Fig. 2 (not shown), by adhering strip 10 to panel 6 and strip 16 to the opposite end of overlay 4.
