Abstract

1,234,733. Centrifugal fans; silencing gaseous flow. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A.B. Jan. 30, 1969 [Jan.31, 1968], No.5241/69. Headings F1B and F1C. The casing of a centrifugal fan comprises two square or oblong side walls 8, 9, and flow peripheral plane walls 10, 11, 12, 13 each forming a tangent to an imaginary scroll 14. A guide plate 15 is provided. The casing may be formed as shown from four box-like elements each comprising a bottom, two sides and one end, arranged around two rectangular, e.g. square, wall elements. The casing has an outlet 3 and at least one inlet 2. Sound obsorbing material may be provided in the spaces 16, 17, 18 between the peripheral walls 10, 11, 12, 13 and the imaginary scroll 14.
