Abstract

1,233,975. Securing seats to floors; seats. DORMOBILE Ltd. 5 Feb., 1970 [26 Feb., 1969], No. 10215/69. Headings A4J and A4U. A seat comprises a metal sub-frame 10 having members which rest on the vehicle floor and to which the ends 17 of a U- shaped link are pivoted, the cross-bar 18 of the link being rotatably retained by staples 19 to floor plates 20 so that the seat is movable to alternative forward and rearward positions. Clips 23, 29 and sockets 26, 28 retain member 22, and latch 34 on member 25, of the sub-frame in the alternative positions. Disengagement of the latch from the sockets is effected by a handle 27. The seat is convertible to face forwardly or rearwardly by the detachable engagement of legs 12 of a backrest 13 in sockets 30 at front and back of the seat, and is extended transversely by a hinged extension having a hinged floor leg 32 and normally retained beneath the cushion 15.
