Abstract

1,232,907. Electric timepieces. SUWA SEIKOSHA K.K. Nov.4, 1969 [Nov.5, 1968], No.54038/69. Heading G3T. An electronic timepiece comprises a driving device including a pulse generator 34 controlled by a time standard oscillator 35, a stepping motor rotated unidirectionally by the pulse generator 34 and having a rotor 24 including at least two pairs of magnetic poles of opposite polarity, stators 21, 32 each having at least one pair of poles, and a gear train for driving the second hand 29 and comprising a pinion 28 meshing with a gear-wheel 30 provided with an indexing mechanism, e.g. comprising an indexing wheel 31 having teeth engageable by a spring pawl 32, whereby the gear train absorbs by backlash the vibrations produced by each step of the rotor.
