Abstract
1343330 Electronic watches SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 25 June 1971 [27 July 1970] 29889/71 Heading G3T An electronic watch comprises a crystal controlled oscillator F 0 Fig. 4 followed by a chain of MOS-FET integrated circuit frequency dividing stages, outputs from which are fed to a pulse forming circuit AS Fig.4 also Fig.5 (not shown) and logic gates 1BS, 2BS, 1CS, 2CS which produce four trains of pulses Fig.3 (not shown) at the same frequency and suitable phase relation and which respectively control drive circuit transistors 6, 7, 8 and 9 Fig. 2 such that transistors 6 and 8 conduct simultaneously to pass current in one direction and 7, 9 conduct simultaneously to pass current in the opposite direction through coils 3 of a stepping motor 2 having a permanent magnet rotor 1. The motor is coupled to a second hand and via gear trains (not shown) to minute and hour hands.
