Abstract

The rotor (1) has axes of magnetisation parallel to its axis and angularly offset. Pairs of upper (2a-3a) and lower stators define radial airgaps (a1-a2; b1-b2). The corresponding airgaps of the stator pairs are offset by a value corresponding to the offset of the axes of magnetisation. A motive coil (4) magnetises these stators alternately with opposite polarities. This arrangement ensures high magnetic coupling and stable operation. <IMAGE>
