Abstract

The micromotor comprises two stator pieces of elongate shape (4, 5), carrying a coil former and situated facing one another, ends opposed. A rotor (1) is mounted between the opposing ends of the stator pieces. It rotates about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stator pieces. An outer casing (8) joins together flanges (4a, 5a) presented by the stator pieces at their outward pointing extremity. This outer tubular piece (8) is made of a material with high magnetic permeability and it provides effective shielding for the motor. The motor can be manufactured simply and inexpensively, with small dimensions, and it benefits, through the presence of the outer tubular piece of ferromagnetic material, from excellent shielding between its inner space and the outer ambient space. <IMAGE>
