Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten length in the axial direction, reduce magnetomotive force and heighten efficiency by a mechanism wherein a drive body consisting of a magnetic substance is mounted to one end of an output shaft of a motor, and an exciting coil is housed in U-shaped space which the drive body forms. CONSTITUTION:A drive body 10 consisting of a magnetic substance is connected to one end of a shaft 5 of a motor. The drive body 10 is composed of a magnetic pole body 20 with a U-shaped section and a magnetic path forming body 23 connected to the magnetic pole body 20 through a nonmagnetic substance 22, and a following body 35 consisting of a cylindrical conductive material is arranged into a clearance among the magnetic pole pieces 17, 19 of the magnetic pole body 20 and the magnetic path forming body 23. An exciting coil 25 is housed in space which the magnetic pole body 20 makes up, and fixed to an end bracket 9 of the motor through a magnetic path forming body 28. Thus, the motor can resist high frequent starting and stopping while dimensions in the axial direction can be shortened, and a magnetic path is shortened and efficiency can be heightened.
