Abstract

PURPOSE:To send a cooling wind to the load side from the antiload side at all times heighten a cooling effect by a mechanism wherein a nonmagnetic substance for connecting magnetic pole pieces opposing to a following body and a magnetic path forming body in a drive body is projected to the outside in the diameter direction, and a cooling fan is formed. CONSTITUTION:A drive body 10 is mounted to one end of a shaft 5 of a motor. The drive body 10 consists of a magnetic pole body 20 with a U-shaped section and a magnetic path forming body 23, and the magnetic pole body 20 and the magnetic path forming body 23 are connected by means of a nonmagnetic substance 22 while one portion of the nonmagnetic substance 22 is projected to the outside in the diameter direction and a cooling fan 24 is made up. An eddy-current generating plate 35 of a following body 40 is arranged into a clearance among the magnetic pole peeces 17, 19 of the magnetic pole body 20 and the magnetic path forming body 23 concentrically and cylindrically, and a boss 38 for connecting the eddy-current generating plate 35 to an output shaft 30 is made of metal, such as aluminum having an excellent radiation property. Thus, a cooling effect can be heightened because a cooling wind flows even when the following body 40 stops.
