1,227,644. Venetian blinds. HUNTER DOUGLAS. 13 June, 1969, No. 30201/69. Heading E1J. In the driving unit for a tilt rod 1 of a Venetian blind, as described in Specification 1,107,203 a guide element 14 for the control cord 6 is mounted at the circumference of the cord pulley 20 and a bearing member 29 is mounted on the guide element 14 and as shown comprises a plate 29 integral with the guide plate 14 and has a recess 31 for the end of the shaft 32 carrying the pulley 20. The unit may have a connecting element 33 34, 36 so that the unit may be positioned in the head rail (35, Fig. 2) with the pulley 20 arranged horizontal and lowermost, the guiding element then having a smooth protruding lip (38 Fig. 2) adapted to engage a register hole (40 Fig. 2) of the head rail.
