Abstract

1,207,600. Venetian blinds. CHR. FABERS FABRIKER A.S. 2 Aug., 1968 [22 Jan., 1968], No. 36977/68. Heading E1J. A tilt roller mounting unit for a venetian blind and adapted to be mounted in a rectangular opening 30 in the base of a U-section head rail 32 comprises a U-section bearing bracket having parallel sides 2 and 4 and moulded from resilient plastics, the roller 8 being mounted between the sides 2, 4 on a spindle, the base of the U-having transverse strengthening projections with ribs and are provided with oppositely outwardly directed slots 14, 16, slot 14 being of greater depth than slot 16 to receive the transverse edges of the opening in the head rail base so that with the tapes on the roll 8 and the bracket pushed up through the opening the slot 14 first receives its edge, and resiliently depressing a sawtooth stop 36 and increasing temporarily the width of the groove 14 until the said edge reaches towards the end of the slot 14 when the slot 16 is faced towards and the bracket is moved to the left to receive the adjacent edge of the opening in the rail, whereupon both slots retain ther respective edges and the saw tooth stop 36 snaps down in front of its adjacent opening edge 30 to fix the bracket in the opening. The bracket has two parallel walls 12 between which is 'mounted a lift cord pulley 22 on a shaft 28 mounted in said walls 12.
