Abstract

1536600 Venetian blinds REDERI AB NORDSTJERNAN 16 Dec 1976 [19 Dec 1975] 52492/76 Heading E1J A venetian blind comprises slats 1 with a cut-out 5 through which one of the tilt cords 3 passes so that the slats to abut closely in the vertical position. The other tilt cord is either attached to the slat by a ring 6 and a hook 7 (Fig. 1a) or abuts against a projecting portion 8 when in the vertical position (Fig. 2b). The slats may be faced with materials having an emissivity of less than 0.5 (preferably less than 0.3) at a wave length longer than 1.5Ám. The blind forms a draught resistant screen and is particularly suitable for use between the panels of a double glazed unit.
