Film evaporators.-A bucket-wheel or pocketedcylinder discharge for the solidified material is employed in place of the worm-conveyer described in the parent Specification. The cylinder or wheel i rotates in a casing connected by a long opening h with the hopper e, and in order to maintain the vacuum in the casing a the pockets are exhausted of air when moving from the emptying to the receiving positions. They may be put into communication with a chamber l of large capacity connected to an air pump, to ensure proper evacuation when moving rapidly.
