Abstract

1,225,468. Washing machines. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 15 Jan., 1970 [11 Feb., 1969], No. 1977/70. Heading D1A. [Also in Division F4] In a combination clothes washing and drying appliance the clothes are washed in a washing machine with an integral plastics inner tub 16 and agitator 17 which is oscillated for washing and rotated for spin drying and a horizontal top wall 20 with a rear hinged access door 46 and they are dried (see also Division F4) in a drum through which warmed air is drawn by an impeller 104. The access door 46 abuts the lower front portion 68 of the dryer front wall when open. (For Figure see next column)
