Abstract

The clothes-drying drum turns on a horizontal axis in a stream of warm air. The loading opening in the drum's circumference and the drum is mounted on two strengthening pieces in a sheet metal section which forms the sides and part of the back of the cabinet. The drum fits both a front-loading and top-loading version of the machine. The two designs differ only in the cover plates at top and front of the cabinet. The drying air passes in and out through the perforated ends of the drum.
