122,516. Pope, W. J. Feb. 13, 1918. Sulphuryl chloridc.-A mixture of sulphur dioxide and chlorine in equimolecular proportions is passed over charcoal which acts as a catalyst to produce combination with evolution of heat. The temperature should preferably be kept down to about 30‹ C.
