1,223,818. Multi glazing units; protective screens. A: ARNOLD. 17 April, 1969 [17 May, 1968], No. 19600/69. Headings E1J and E1R. A bullet proof panel or protective screen comprises two external glass panes 1, 2 and one or more internal impact resistant polycarbonate panes 3, 4, held spaced from each other by aluminium semi-circular tubular spacers 5 formed as closed frames with their convex surfaces pointing outwards with resilient sealing composition 8 filling the spaces external of the closed frame spacers 5 between adjacent panes and sealing the spaces between the panes, which spaces may be filled with dry air or gas, or vacuum.
