A double or multiple glazing unit comprises at least two spaced parallel panes of glass sealed together by a jacket, the space or spaces being filled with water-free air, inert gas or vacuum and at least one of the internal surfaces being painted with paint which may be translucent and may be fired. A transparent, partially transparent or translucent film may be inserted between the panes.
