Abstract

122,248. Major, M. B. F., and Thompson, F. W. Jan. 17, 1918. Plant. - A trap f o r recovering grease from kitchen waste - water and the like comprises an open tank across which are arranged one or more partitions leaving a narrow opening at the bottom, the outlet being slightly above the openings. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, there are two partitions n, o and the outlet is constructed by an adjustable pipe q. An inclined shelf, such as described in Specification 16069/13, [Class 33, Drains &c.], may be provided, but a series of baffles causing the liquid to take a zigzag course through the settling chamber is disclaimed.
