An Al-base alloy suitable for use in the ascast condition as a galvanic anode consists by weight, of:- of:- Zn 1-15% In 0.005 - 0À1% Mg 0À4 - 10% optionally Sn 0.1 - 0À5% " Ga 0.005 - 0À017% " Ti 0.005 - 0À07% Al of at least 99À8% purity and impurities - balance.
