Abstract
1,143,214. Cobalt base alloys. MARTINMARIETTA CORP. April 13, 1966 [April 21, 1965], No. 16172/66. Heading C7A. A cobalt based alloy comprises: - C 0À4 - 0À7% Cr 18 - 24% Ni 7 - 15% W 6 - 9% Ta 2 - 5% Ti 0À1 - 0À5% Zr 0À1 - 1À0% the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements, being cobalt. Incidental elements and impurities referred to are:- Fe up to 3% Mn up to 0À5% Si up to 0À5% B up to 0À1% Misch Metal up to 0À2% Nb up to 2% Mo up to 2% together with low amounts of impurities S, H, Pb, Sn and Hf. The alloy may be aged at 1500 F.
