Abstract
1,261,403. Nickel base alloy. MARTIN METALS CO. April 25, 1969 [April 29, 1968], No.21262/69. Heading C7A. A casting alloy which is substantially non- fergeable consists of:- Ni at least 36% Al 4-7% B 0À002-0À02% C 0À02-0À2% Cr 7-13% Hf 0À1-4% Ti 0À5-6% Zr 0À01-0À2% Co up to 35% Mo up to 8% Nb up to 3% Ta up to 6% V up to 1À5% and W up to 14% apart from minor impurities such as up to 2% in total of Fe, Mn and Si and the lowest possible amounts of As, Bi, N, O, Pb and S. Uses:- Gas turbine hardware. The Hf addition minimizes the deleterious effects of using revert material in making new alloy melts.
