Abstract
A readily workable cast alloy consists of (1) 2-16% in total of at least two of the metals W, Zr, Mo and Hf, at least two of these metals being present in amounts of 1% or more and no metal exceeding 8% and (2) the balance Ta and impurities. The alloy contains at least one other metal from the group when W and Hf are present; it may also contain one or more of Nb, Re and Ti up to 2% in total.
