Abstract
An alloy has the following percentage composition:- .Al.1.-.4 .V.13.-.17 .Nb.0.-.5 .Ta.0.-.5 .Ti.the balance.. At least one of Nb, Ta must be present in an amount not less than 0.2%. Up to 3% in total of the following may also be present: - Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Be, B, Cu, Sb, W, Bi, Zr, Sn, Mo, Si and Cr.
