Abstract

An alloy contains: Sb 1 - 25 per cent; Ti, at least 50 per cent, the balance. The alloy may also contain: Sn 0.5 - 22.5 per cent; Al 0.25 - 5 per cent (when the Sb content is more than 5 to 18 per cent); one or more of Mo, V, Ta, Nb, Zr 0.5 - 49 per cent in total, - Cr and/or W 0.5 - 25 per cent; Mn 0.5 - 10 per cent; Fe 0.5 - 7 per cent; one of more of Co, Ni, Cu 0.5 - 5 per cent in total; one or more of Ce, B, As, S, Te, P Si and Be 0.1 - 2 per cent in total; one or more of In, Ag, Pb, Bi 0.5 - 15 per cent in total; C - 0.6 per cent; B2 - 0.4 per cent; N2 - 0.3 per cent.
