Abstract
1333327 Aluminium base alloy ALCAN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 16 May 1972 25 May 1971] 17067/71 Heading C7A An aluminium base alloy, which has a good surface finish after extrusion, comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities, being Al, and has an atomic ratio of Si, in excess of that required to convert all the Mg to Mg 2 Si, to Fe (considered to be 0À25% Fe) of 0À7-2À5. The alloy may be homogenized at 550‹C. for 1 hour to convert the Al-Fe-Si intermetallic phase to the α-phase.
