Abstract
1,219,246. Adjusting vehicle headlamps. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 24 June, 1969 [25 June, 1968], No. 31712/69. Heading F4R. A device of the type disclosed in Specification 756,124 for adjusting the pivoted reflector of a motor vehicle headlamp comprises at least two parallel bi-metallic strips 4, 5 encircled by a common heating filament 21 the current in which is regulated in accordance with the inclination of the vehicle body. The strips are secured at their ends to a mounting plate 1 which is adjustably connected to the headlamp housing by a screw 7, and a bar 8 attached to the reflector is secured to the centres of the bi-metallic strips by a rivet 9. The deflection of the strips is limited by the abutment of the rivet 9 against an adjustable stop 12 which is eccentrically mounted on a rotatable shaft 11 held in position by the end 19 of a spring wire 18.
