Abstract

Cylinders, pipes for.-A valve K admitting extra air to the induction pipe R is controlled by an engine-driven governor A, which acts on a pivoted arm D connected to the valve K by a Bowden wire I. The extent of movement of the arm D and the valve is controlled by a spring T connected by a Bowden wire W to a control lever X for adjusting the tension of the spring. In one extreme position of the lever X, the spring T keeps the valve closed irrespective of the engine speed.
