Abstract

1,217,085. Suspension filing. ELBA-ORDNER-FABRIK G.m.b.H., H. GANNS and L. SCHULER, [trading as KRAUT & MEIENBORN K.G.]. 12 Jan., 1968 [3 March, 1967], No. 1886/68. Heading B6E. A plastics suspension rail 1 for a filing folder 5 has a grooved longitudinally extending index strip 2 from which depends a C-shaped section 3 provided with a lateral opening 9 defining a groove into which is introduced the folded marginal edge 10 of the filing folder 5 and clamped against the inner walls 11, 11a by a swordlike blade 6 introduced from one end of the rail 1. The blade 6 is integral with a suspension nose 7 having a recess whose edge 24 engages the suspension rail carrier bar (not shown). The plastics rail 1 is reinforced by a metallic spring clip bar 16 whose respective shanks extend parallel to and are embedded in the shank 14 and web 19 of the C-shaped section 3. The index tab head portion 2 supports slidably one or more slidable index tabs, which encompass the marginal edges 23 of the portion 2. The index tabs are made of transparent plastics material and are provided with pockets for index labels.
