Abstract
1,233,872. Filing papers. W. LENNARTZ. 27 Feb., 1970 [7 March, 1969], No. 9513/70. Heading B6E. A document file of synthetic plastics material and comprising a back sheet 7 and cover sheet 6 connected to one another by a spine fold 2, is made from a length of extruded and flattened tube 4 having thickened parts at the fold 2 and opposite edge 1, by cutting at 5 along the edge 1. The cut 5 may extend only part way along the edge 1 so as to leave a folded part 12, Fig. 3, which serves as an additional support for documents in the file. Further the bottom edge 11 or parts thereof may be sealed. A strip of material carrying flexible filing prongs may be attached by welding to the inside of the fold 2, or such strip together with the fold part 2 may form a passageway receiving a suspension bar. As shown in Fig. 6, a nose 23 and recess 24 for engaging a suspension rail are formed in the thickened part 22 at the spine fold. The paper filing means may be attached to a strip of material which can extend into the thickened part 22 to act as a reinforcement.
