Classes 16 and 146(1) A folder adapted to be suspended from at least one supporting rail has along one edge, arranged to be uppermost in use, an upwardly facing channel, two or more connecting means extending between the walls of said channel, and an attachment fitting having a portion received within the channel, which is provided with two hooks facing in the same direction and engaging two of the connecting means, and a portion projecting from the channel with a hook facing in the opposite direction for engagement with the supporting rail. The folder 7 comprises a sheet of material folded in zig-zag fashion along three parallel lines intermediate its length to form a channel at the top edge 6, the sides of the channel being joined by staples 5 and by flexible filing tongues 8, 9 which pass therethrough. The attachment fitting 1 comprises a flat plate having hooks 3 at its lower edge which face in the same direction and a hook 4 at its upper edge facing in the opposite direction, and is arranged in the channel with the hooks 3 engaging two of the connecting means and the hook 4 projecting therefrom to engage a suspension rail 10 of hollow construction and having an enlarged longitudinal edge 12. The folder may be provided with two attachment fittings and suspended from two parallel rails. In this case, the folder may be provided with more than one channel along its top edge and the attachment fittings inserted in parallel channels. In another embodiment the folder is constructed as a U-shaped pocket each side wall 14 having a channel 6 at the top edge to receive attachment fittings 1. One end of the folder is closed by a wall 16. Indexing. The top edge of the attachment fitting 1 may be extended and provided with an inclined end piece, which extends above or below said top edge and is slotted to receive a label, (Fig. 7, not shown). The latter may be covered by a strip of transparent material. One longitudinal edge of the rail 10 may be provided with fixed or movable indicators referring to contents in the folders.
