Abstract

1,216,854. Photographic developers. KODAK Ltd. May 2, 1968 [May 5, 1967], No.20912/67. Heading G2C. Photographic developers comprise (1) an inorganic alkali, (2) at least two organic silver halide developing agents, (3) a mercaptosubstituted nitrogen-containing heterocyclic antifoggant, and (4) a benzotriazole antifoggant. Preferably the developer is an aqueous solution containing (1) an alkali metal hydroxide, (2) a mixture of hydroquinone and 1-phenyl-3- pyrazolidone or a 4-substituted derivative thereof, (3) 1-phenyl-5-mercapto-tetrazole, and (4) 5 -methyl -benzotriazole.
