Abstract
1,215,531. Fuze compositions. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 14 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 8271/69. Heading C1D. [Also in Division F3] The combustible core of a safety fuse-cord consists of 70-90% by weight of alkali metal nitrate and 30-10% by weight of charcoal. The combustible powder has a grain size of 0-3 to 0-75 mm. and a specific gravity of at least 1-65, preferably 1-75. The alkali metal nitrate is generally potassium nitrate, and the charcoal is preferably wood charcoal.
Improvements made to explosive shells, in particular to those comprising, behind the explosive charge, a pyrotechnic composition burning while releasing gases towards the rear
