Abstract
An exothermic composition contains at least 1% by weight of unexpanded vermiculite and/or unexpanded perlite, the maximum content of vermiculite (alone or in lamination with perlite) being 50% by weight, and of perlite alone, 10% by weight. Conventional exothermic compositions are used, and combustible products, e.g. powdered coal, coke and anthracite, wood wool and rice husks may be included, as well as expanded perlite.
