Abstract

1,214,42. Electro-plating jigs. SELEX DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. July 15, 1969 [July 16, 1968], No.33900/68. Heading C7B. An electro-plating jig, for selective plating of transistor headers, contact springs, plug and socket connectors, printed circuit components, coaxial connectors, watch and cosmetic cases, and parts of pens and pencils, comprises a work rail 17 for supporting one or more articles to be plated, front and rear suspension rollers or wheels 12, 14 adjacent the respective ends of the work rail, e.g. attached thereto by rigid dependent posts 15, 16, for suspending the jig from a busbar 10 and a conducting contact electrically connected to the rail for receiving current from the busbar, e.g. a vertically movable contact block 21 carrying a spring-loaded slipper 22 resiliently urged upwardly toward the busbar by a spring 24 and connected to the rail via lead 20, conductive block 19 and post 15. A T-section top rail 26 may serve to hold articles to be plated in contact with the work rail, or the articles may be clamped against the work rail.
