Abstract

1,143,347. Surface connectors for printed circuit boards. PRESSAC Ltd. 27 April, 1967 [2 June, 1966], No. 24572/66. Heading H2E. Resilient lances 5 on a connector body 1 snap-fit in printed circuit board apertures 7, so latching the body 1 to the board with contacts, Fig. 7, which are housed in parallel bores in the body, engaging printed circuitry 9. Each contact has a forward circuitryengaging part 11 and rearward parts 13, 14 which are crimped to the conductor and insulation of a lead wire. The lances 5 are of different widths to polarize the connector. Preferably, spring clips 10 are locked in grooves in the body 1 by barbs 10c.
